Try: Help the cr stretch first and help him or her complete the following #breath out during leg extensions breathe in while returning the knees to the bent and relaxed position #sit on a chair with feet together on the floor knees should be in a bent position #slowly lift the right leg fully extending the knee and hold this position for 10 seconds make sure not make fast jerky motions #slowly return the right foot back to the floor so that the knees are bent again and both feet are together #slowly lift the left leg fully extending the knee and hold this position for 10 seconds #slowly return the left foot back to the floor so that knees are bent again and both feet are together #repeat the process up to 10 times adding ankle weights can increase the strengthening benefits of this exercise as will the following try rotating the ankles as knees are extended try pointing the toes as far away from the body while knee is extended try pointing the toes back toward your body as far as you can while the knee is extended
