Try: # listen to the cr to try to identify his or her frustration # try to identify possible causes for cr’s frustration such as pain discomfort being too hot too cold hungry needing to use the bathroom etc or being over stimulated by noise or people # reassure the cr that the caregiver is there to provide assistance and comfort # redirect the cr to an enjoyable activity playing cards watching a movie taking a walk # reduce distractions such as loud noises or potentially frightening shadows or movements
