caregiver (cg) has trouble keeping food on the plate warm while feeding the Care recipient (cr)

Try: Purchase two of the microwaveable warmer packs that are used to keep buns or rolls warm as an alternative you can purchase two of the smaller heating packs used for sore muscles you will need two packs to alternate make sure that the packs are small and reasonably flat warm one of the packs in the microwave while placing the cr’s food on the plate place a towel on the table place the warmer pack on the towel and flatten it out as much as possible place the plate of food on the warmer pack if eating takes quite a while you may have to warm a second pack to replace the first one as it cools this will keep the food warm during the time it takes to eat if it is soup that you need to keep warm place the warmer pack in a large bowl and then place the bowl with soup on top of the pack make sure that the bowls are slightly different in size so that the fit is secure
