Try: Suggest that cr try doing the following exercise every day stand with the unaffected side next to a countertop or other firm surface rest the unaffected arm on the surface for support lift the unaffected foot from the floor and stand on the affected leg slowly bend and straighten the leg that is being stood on through a small range of motion try to move smoothly not allowing the knee to buckle when bending or to snap back when straightening repeat the knee bending and straightening several times slowly
