Try: #allow the cr to help with as much of the bathing as possible to encourage independence #encourage the cr to use the bedpan before the procedure #offer damp warm wash cloths lathered with a small amount of soap #make sure the cr has privacy and that curtains and doors are closed #change the water when it becomes dirty or too cold #make sure that all areas of the body are washed and dried unless advised otherwise by the cr’s doctor including the folds of the skin #after using soap on an area of the body make sure to rinse clean and dry thoroughly follow up with lotion for very dry skin
