Try: Help the cr express his or her feelings by by writing them down in a journal or dairy encourage the cr to write what her is she is frustrated bored or angry about in the journal or dairy this will provide an outlet for the cr cr’s emotions it doesn’t matter if the cr is able to write legibly or not the journal or dairy will be for his or her eyes only this may open up an opportunity for you to talk to the cr about his or her feelings and the boredom frustration and anger ask the cr if there is anything that you could do to help and discuss options for example find out if there an activity that the cr used to enjoy that could be modified so it could still be done if the cr enjoyed bowling in the past try indoor bowling with plastic pins a plastic ball and a ramp that the cr can roll the ball down from a wheelchair you could also try electronic bowling with a nintendo wi or similar device try playing balloon volleyball or go for a walk outside in the wheelchair try taking the cr on a golf cart ride to the park plan an imaginary trip with the cr you could even plan what to take and pack the suitcase go on vacations by watching videos of vacation destinations such as the grand canyon hawaii the national parks europe africa and so on
