Try: Try doing exercises that strengthen legs and improve balance hold on to the back of a chair or to the counter top and stand with legs a little wider than shoulder width apart and toes pointed outward slightly toward the corners of the room bend knees to lower yourself straight down using about 2 seconds to do this return to the starting position by pushing through the heels to come back up do this exercise 8 times rest do another 8 repetitions or as many as can be done comfortably rest do another 8 repetitions or as many as can be done comfortably for an added challenge do not hold onto a chair try holding a ball instead or change the count of the exercise by lowering down and holding for several seconds this exercise can be done 3 or 4 times a week

Try: Try doing exercises that strengthen the leg muscles to improve balance sit on the edge of a chair and extend legs out in front of you keeping knees slightly bent and placing heels on the floor toes pointed upward point the toes downward then flex them upward do this point and flex exercise 10 to 15 times rest then do another 10 to 15 repetitions modification sitting in the same position as above flex the toes and place the ball on top of your shoelaces try to hold the ball with flexed toes in that position for about 10 seconds or as long as you can repeat 1 to 2 times resting for a few seconds between each exertion this exercise can be done 3 or 4 times a week

Try: Try doing exercises that strengthen the leg muscles to improve balance in a seated position with good posture and knees bent take a ball and place it on the floor near feet holding onto the chair for balance as needed place right foot on top of the ball trying to balance your weight as you do this the left foot that is not on the ball can remain on the floor or can be lifted up off the floor if you feel stable enough hold for 3 to 4 seconds switch feet and repeat with the opposite foot keep switching feet on the ball for 8 to 10 timess rest do another 8 to 10 repetitions this exercise can be done 3or 4 times a week note a ball is not required for this exercise try standing on one foot while holding the back of a chair as balance improves do exercise without holding onto the chair
