caregiver (cg) needs advice on dealing with repetition by the Care recipient (cr)

Try: If the repetition involves calling out a name over and over – the cr may just need the comfort of knowing that person is near sometimes the cr may not realize who is answering they just need someone to say i’m right here just the words will be something familiar and comfortable for the cr if the repetition involves some type of repeated physical action such as the wringing of hands plucking at their clothes or tapping their fingers against a tabletop; this may just reflect a need to be busy try to fit an activity to match the repetition such as sorting objects folding towels or washcloths or taking objects out of one container and placing them in another
