Care recipient (cr) who is sick or approaching death and spending a lot of time in bed frequently removes gown or pajamas

Try: #offer lightweight clothing made of breathable fabric like 100 cotton #offer fresh changes of nightclothes frequently #try making the cr cr’s bed with 100 cotton sheets keep the sheets cool by smoothing wrinkles out and turning the sheets back when the cr is out of bed and by changing the sheets regularly change the sheets more frequently while the cr is running a high temperature breaking a fever or having night sweats #use several lightweight blankets instead of one or two heavy blankets opting for cotton over synthetic material if possible this will allow blankets to be layered more precisely to the the cr cr’s comfort and the cotton will prevent the kind of build up of body heat that comes with polyester fabrics for example #keep a quiet fan in the cr cr’s room that can be adjusted as soon as the cr starts feeling uncomfortable #make the cr cr’s sense of comfort is checked as often as fluids are offered normally about every two hours
