Upper body strength may be improved with an easy low-tech and inexpensive weight-lifting exercise

Try: #stand straight with feet shoulder width apart and knees slightly bent or sit upright in a straight back chair #take the 2 small cans or the dumbbells and place one in the palm of each hand wrapping your fingers around them #extend your arms down to the sides of your body #now bend your arms at the elbows and hold them up to your chest counting to 5 next lower your arms to your thighs and hold for 5 seconds raise and lower the weights 10 times do this exercise once a day to increase your upper body strength as you get stronger increase the number of times you lift the weights and increase the number of times per day you exercise

Materials: 2 small cans of vegetables or two 2-lb dumbbells chair optional
