Try: Examine the Care recipient (cr) to determine if he has truly euphoric behavior or is simply happy or jovial at the time also not impossible it is fairly rare for persistent euphoria to occur without taking some type of substance because euphoria is often caused by medication it is crucial to observe the care recipient’s cr behavior check for potential side effects of the cr’s medication also monitor the cr for potential drug abuse as illegal drugs can also cause euphoria it is important to monitor the cr’s intake to appropriately deal with euphoria if the euphoria is not being caused by a substance it is probably necessary to have the cr examined by a physician to determine the cause
