Try: Accept a hug from the cr upon greeting and saying goodbye and keep them short if the cr tries to hug longer than is comfortable consider setting a timer and explaining that when the timer goes off it’s time for the hug to end if the cr initiates a hug at other times throughout the day gently ease away and remind him or her that you will accept a hug when it’s time for you to leave discuss appropriate times to hug others socially
