Try: Calmly tell the cr that his or her actions are inappropriate and that you will leave the room until he or she calms down after the cr is calm discuss why he or she felt the need to hit if the cr was confused and unsure of what happened do not confuse the cr further by trying to get him or her to explain when in a state of confusion the cr usually can’t help his or her actions if the problem persists and it seems to be a pre-meditated or angry act encourage the cr to take an anger management course or borrow a video series from the library if serious aggression persists and you feel you or someone else is in danger call out for help and dial 911
