Care recipient (cr) with vision loss has trouble distinguishing personal items from other people people’s brushes and mugs for example

Try: # work with the cr to determine which items are difficult to identify # cut a small swatch of the fabric and adhere it to the item # let the cr feel the texture on the item and prompt the cr to feel for the fabric when trying to identify an item # use this for both to identify possessions and as a guide to help the cr get from one key place to another attach a long strip of textured fabric or small textured dots to the wall at the cr cr’s hand height to guide the cr to various points
