Care recipient (cr) is having a problem of waking up at night to urinate

Try: Four times per day have the cr lie down on the couch or bed with his or her feet elevated slightly above the level of the chest have the cr remain in this position for at least 15 minutes afterward have the cr attempt to urinate make sure the cr does not drink fluids for 3 hours before going to bed remind the cr to try to urinate just before going to bed make sure the cr takes any diuretics in the morning rather than at night
