Care recipient (cr) is sometimes difficult to handle during mealtimes

Try: Encourage independent eating if cr is able consider serving finger foods that are easier for cr to handle and eat try using adaptive equipment such as plate guards or silverware with specially designed handles if cr has difficulty holding or using utensils avoid trying to force feed cr try to encourage cr to eat and try to find out why he she doesn’t want to eat always remember to treat cr as an adult not a child
