Try: Assist the cr with developing a relaxation routing remind the cr to slow down and take one task at a time suggest the cr make a list of daily activities to help him or her feel more organized remind the cr that all activities don’t have to be completed everyday remind cr to pay attention to his or her feelings suggest the cr keep a journal so he or she can express feelings remind the cr that it is ok to put a task off if he or she is tired or wants to take a break and do something enjoyable ask the cr what he or she feels nervous about reassure the cr that the caregiver will help him or her get through a nervous event doctor appointment holiday take the cr on a long slow walk go with the cr to doctor appointments explain the purpose and benefits of the appointment reassure the cr that the cg will help him or her get through the day and develop a plan for the cr to follow in the evenings suggest enjoyable activities that the cr and cg can do together card games cooking a nice meal going out for dinner making crafts attending a concert going to a movie watching a movie at home with some popcorn
