Care recipient (cr) makes repeated requests that cannot be honored or granted for various reasons either not physically or financially possible and gets upset frustrated and sometimes lashes out either verbally or physically toward caregiver (cg)

Try: Try to refrain from using the actual word no when dealing with impossible requests find alternate words or suggestions try saying what a great idea i’ll have to see if we can work that into our schedule sometime or i really wish we could do that but we’ll need to wait for the weather to be better or we don’t really have enough time right now but we’ll plan to do that in the next week or two don’t point out that it is neither physically or financially impossible to grant the request make the request seem like a real possibility at a future time or place
